Trata-se de protesto por perdas e danos pela não entrega de carregamento de sal transportado por uma galera norueguesa. De acordo com o Código Comercial, artigo 527 não é permitido reter a bordo os efeitos da carga a título de segurança do frete que segundo a carta de fretamento não tem direito de exigir senão depois do completo descarregamento. O processo se inicia em 21/12/1892 sendo concluído em 03/01/1893.
